The Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, has signed the EU not-a-constitution leaving only the Czech president, Vaclav Klaus, holding back the European Empire.
Czech Senators have lodged a legal challenge with the Czech constitutional court which should take up to 6 months but the eurofederalist Czech government is promising to fast track the case through the courts. Klaus is now saying that he won't sign the Lisbon Treaty until it is amended to exempt the Czech Republic from the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
It never ceases to amaze me how these Eastern European countries, who fought so hard to free themselves from the old Soviet Republic, are so willing to voluntarily enter into a new one.
It is unlikely that Klaus will be able to hold out intil the next election where the Tories will realistically have no choice but to hold the promised referendum. Whilst the EU not-a-constitution is pretty disasterous for our country, we should at least take heart in the fact that the Tories will be shown for what they are - useless eurofederalists who will do nothing to protect us from the European Empire - and people will flock to UKIP as the only party that will free us from European imperialism.

Bugger.
It doesn't really surprise me that "Eastern European countries, who fought so hard to free themselves from the old Soviet Republic, are so willing to voluntarily enter into a new one"
As with most governmental frameworks, the diehards remain in place. Perhaps masquerading as reformed commies or opposers of the old regime.
They know how to play the game. Those at the top of the game, of all countries, are few in number and part of a cosy club.
Unfortunately, the Fabians, commies or whatever else they call themselves (privately), are entrenched.
We need to seek and destroy - get them out. The are the cancer of the western world.
The Czech President Vaclav Klaus, will not be able to hold out for much longer against the enormous pressure that he EU will put on him.
He will soon crack under the strain.
Then the Lisbon Treaty can be ratified, and the EU Empire can really begin its work of destroying all democracy in Europe.
There will be no more treaties. The Lisbon Treaty was the last one. They have now got almost all our sovereignty.
There is a self amending clause in the Lisbon Treaty which allows the EU to expand its range powers without any further treaties.
What exactly is the 'self-amending clause' you mentioned, Steve?
I'm interested.
It's a self-amending treaty, it's full of ratchet clauses that allow the treaty to be amended by Qualified Majority Vote.
Self-amending article 48 that removes the automatic right to referendums on all future treaty changes remains in place. Despite promises it would be removed to assist in the Irish issue.
This article means no more Sovereignty no matter how it's dressed up. But the Green Party know this are happy to carry on with a Super State.
Thank you Huw Peach for asking about the self amending clause.
But I think that the others on this topic, have have already explained very well what the self amending clause means.
In paractice it means that any future changes in the EU's relationship with the nation states will be agreed by majority voting.
This means there will be no future treaties, and no future referendums.
It was the fact that the Lisbon Treaty was to be the very last treaty, which was why it was originally called the EU Constitution.
The Mod Cons are in a bit of a 'Pickle'
