Three more councillors join UKIP

Three more councillors have joined UKIP, following the lead of the former Conservative councillor for Little Thurrock, Steve St Clair-Haslam, who defected to UKIP on Saturday.

The latest three councillors to join the UKIP fold are all independent councillors for Ramsey & Parkeston, Essex.  Councillor John Brown is a district councillor and Councillors Martyn and Lesley Donn are parish councillors.

That's four new councillors in three days for UKIP.  This is good news indeed.

Perhaps our new councillors will get the Ramsay & Parkeston Parish Council website sorted out?  Just a suggestion.

Will the defectors do the honourable thing and force a by-election?

Like Quentin Davies did when he defected from the Tories to Labour in 2007? Or like Councillor Dorothy Cartwright who defected from the Tories to Labour in Tameside last year? Or like Councillor John Warman who defected from Lib Dems to Labour in Neath in January this year? Shouldn't think so Julian Ware-Lane, impartial prospective Labour NEC member and PPC.
I do not pretend to be impartial, but I try to be consistent.
So you publicly called for all of the above to resign and force a by-election?

It would be pointless these three resigning anyway, there's an election in May so the 6 month rule would apply and there wouldn't be an election.
