The Labour Party candidate for St Helens South & Whiston, Marie Rimmer, has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman outside a polling station in Glasgow during the Scottish independence referendum.
Rimmer pleaded not guilty at Glasgow Sheriff's Court and will stand trial in March, less than two months before the general election.
