Conservative activist and former journalist, Toby Young, wants UKIP to help David Cameron win the election in 2015 by asking UKIP voters to pledge to vote Conservative in some seats if Conservative voters pledge to vote UKIP in others. He calls this "Country Before Party" but it should be more accurately known as "Operation Save the Tories".
There is nothing in this plan that benefits UKIP because we take votes from all parties and none. The Conservative vote might be predominantly going to UKIP but the UKIP vote is coming from all parties. Helping the Tories win an election is not in UKIP's or the country's interests.
If your branch has no interest in supporting Toby Young's Operation Save the Tories campaign then get in touch to sign the pledge not to stand down for the Tories.
